Founded in 1847, Saint Peter's College is honoured to have been educating the minds, hearts, and spirits of our students for 175 years. Saint Peter’s Boys prides itself on having an unwavering commitment to the education of boys. The School mission is to provide an exceptional education that brings out the best in every boy. Since its foundation in 1847, Saints has emphasised a sense of service honoured through selflessness, and this value remains strong and constant in the fabric of School life.
At Saints we are proud of our history of academic success including three Nobel Laureates, ten Australian Premiers, 42 Rhodes Scholars and a new generation of young leaders. Above all, we aspire to develop caring graduates that become contributors to our nation.
As a School, and as a community, we are enriched and strengthened by our diversity. Education is a life journey and the aim of St Peter’s College is to undertake this journey in partnership with parents. In our co-parenting role, we share responsibility for the successful navigation of each student through childhood and adolescence. Both the School and parents are committed to and share the same values, and we work together to prepare our boys for a life fully engaged in all the possibilities and challenges that lie ahead.
St Peter’s College is set on 32 hectares of magnificent grounds and is only three kilometres from Adelaide city centre. With beautiful buildings, both historic and modern, our educational facilities and sports fields are world class. This includes seven ovals, a hockey pitch, 10 tennis courts, and a state-of-the-art sports centre with a swimming pool and full gymnasium. We also have an outdoor education campus at Finniss, near Lake Alexandrina, about an hour drive from Adelaide.
We offer superb boarding facilities and students join us from across the state, country and overseas.Boarding holds a central place in the life of the School with a modern Boarding House that provides a homely, safe, and comfortable experience for 100 boys from Years 7 to 12. We pride ourselves on supporting a positive culture of acceptance, compromise and appreciation of difference, allowing each student to realise their potential.
