St Aloysius College (SAC) has been a leader in girls’ education in South Australia since 1880. Many of the College’s graduates have broken new ground for women in society, both locally and globally. Our academic programs offer a wide range of subjects to enable all students to pursue their passions, and our curriculum extension programs enable students to explore a variety of activities outside the classroom.
SAC was one of the first schools in Adelaide to welcome international students. With over 30 years’ experience of welcoming students from around the world, we value the inter-cultural understanding that comes from building relationships with students, their families and schools in other countries. The International Student Program at St Aloysius College is rich and diverse, providing opportunities for long-term and short-term international students as well as a range of study tours, tailored to the needs of the visiting schools. Our Mercy values underpin everything we do at SAC. One of those values is hospitality, and we ensure that all visiting students experience the joy and warmth of new friendships, no matter how long their stay.
SAC is located in the heart of the city of Adelaide, which gives students and staff easy access to many resources and facilities. e University of Adelaide, University of South Australia, SA Museum, Art Gallery, State Library, Adelaide Zoo, Botanic Gardens and Central Market are only a short walk from the school. Students are also able to participate in various cultural activities that take place in the city centre, such as the OzAsia Festival, Festival of Arts, and many other events.
St Aloysius College is conveniently near to public transport, with all major bus routes providing close access to the school. Our central location also gives students access to the free tram service for ease in travelling across the city.
